On a day dedicated to remembering exile and expulsion, here’s an excellent film, “Home Game,” about the “disengagement,” the surrealistic self-ethnic cleansing, of Jews from Gaza — four years ago, this week.   

To commemorate the 4th anniversary of the Gaza cleansing, “Home Game” can be seen for free online, for a limited time. 

Producer Avi Abelow describes the film as “the surreal story of normal teenagers trying to continue an annual basketball tournament during a very abnormal summer in Israel – the summer of 2005 during the disengagement from Gaza.  This powerful docu-drama emphasizes the journey of these teenagers and their determination to win against all odds, both on and off the court.”

Nobel Laureate Yisroel Aumann called the movie “fabulous and powerful.” The Jerusalem Post called it “unique and eloquent.”

Here’s an item that might interest all you rogue West Bank settlers and Jerusalem settlers who might be contemplating your own expulsion: According to the prime minister’s office, after four years, 90 percent of the Jews that were expelled from Gaza have yet to be moved into permanent housing.
